Our Office is Reopening to the Public
On Friday, May 1, Governor Holcomb lifted the stay-at-home order and laid out his "Back on Track Indiana" plan to begin re-opening businesses around the State. With that, we are re-opening our doors to the public beginning at 8 am on May 4. Many of you have already electronically filed your tax returns, but may have paperwork to pick up or drop off. You will be able to do that from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. We do ask that you continue to make an appointment for any in-person meetings so we can manage the number of people in our office at any given time. This will help ensure the continued safety of our clients and staff.
We are still actively monitoring the number of local cases of COVID-19 in our community and the guidance of our local and state officials. Should the number of positive cases begin to rise and the virus beginning spreading quickly again, it may be necessary for us to shut our doors to the public again temporarily. Should we make that determination, we'll be sure to post that information here.
2019 Tax Deadline and Payments
As of March 20, Treasury Secretary Mnuchin says the 2019 tax filing deadline has been extended for both filing of returns and any associated payments, up to certain limits, from April 15th until July 15th.
Please remember, individuals and businesses can still file an extension as normal if they need additional time to file. This is an ongoing issue and official guidance is still forthcoming. We will monitor the situation and update as needed. If you have any questions regarding filing or payment deadlines and the various options available, please contact our office.
